Blaster Master Zero Review

8 Total Score
Very Good

Blaster Master Zero is very competent remake of the original Blaster Master. It's an "enhanced/remastered" version of the original that looks like it may have if this were made for the Nintendo DS or maybe even Super NES, with improved graphics and audio, and also adding in some cutscenes and other gameplay tweaks. It has an entertaining blend of both platform and isometric shooting. You gain various power-ups and maneuverability skills as you progress through the game, and that does a pretty good job at keeping things fresh. Most important of all, the controls for manipulating the tank are tight and the aerial momentum is intuitive. This game is a blast, a lot of fun to play, if you like cave story or mega man you will probably like this too. If you played the old NES version you will also like this.
