Far Cry: New Dawn Review
Far Cry New Dawn is an awesome addition to the series, especially since it's the first sequel for another game. And best of all, the entirety of the game can be played in co-op mode. Lead the fight against the ruthless Highwaymen and their leaders, the Twins, in this direct sequel to Far Cry 5. With so much to do, so many places to explore, and a post-apocalyptic world that is grounded in realism, there is no shortage of entertainment to be had in Hope County. Though Far Cry: New Dawn treads similar ground as its predecessor, this direct sequel signals the franchises is stretching its wings by introducing RPG mechanics and easily replayable content. While the new villains are lackluster, the return of Joseph Seed is very welcome, giving new depth to the character and his world. With Outpost invasions, Expeditions, and treasure hunts, there is a ton of content here, and almost all of it is fun. The overarching emphasis on crafting compels you to explore the map far and wide, completing objectives both big and small. The result is a more rewarding Far Cry with a wider variety of missions and a deeper challenge. The RPG elements that were introduced make it feel great and the post-apocalyptic setting has allowed designers to let their imagination run wild, resulting in a truly beautiful world. If you appreciated FC5 you'll like this one too.
