Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game developed by Eidos Montréal in conjunction with Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. Players take the role of main protagonist Lara Croft as she explores environments across the continent of South America. The game’s hub is set to be the largest in the franchise which also reveals the hidden city of Paititi. Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will ultimately be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be. Experience Lara Croft’s defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider.

Superb

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the best game in this trilogy and was well worth the wait. Eidos Montreal made an honest and mature experience that is focused on doing what it does best: being an adventure that keeps you hooked. It not only builds upon the series legacy, it goes to its roots and successfully brings back the exploration that we were busy not to even notice was missing while tackling through many exciting action set pieces of the previous games. You'll find pockets of open-world to explore, with tons of side-quests and interactions with NPCs. Don't expect guns-a-blazin', but do expect getting more than you bargained for from this Tomb Raider experience. Like its predecessors, the game allows players to hunt wild animals, craft materials using the resources collected, solve puzzles and explore optional tombs. The game also features more tombs than the previous instalments in the reboot series. If the game does not invent anything and draws much from the competition as in the formula of its predecessor, it is nonetheless the culmination of the splendid career of a Lara Croft who has become mature and definitely charming. On top of that Tomb Raider never did look so good.
