A wonderful arcade hockey game that fills a great hole in PC gaming.
Slapshot is a free-to-play indie hockey game made and published by Glacier Labs. Devs managed everything on their own from engine development, model creation, servers, and publishing. The game is physics-based, so teamwork and crisp passing are essential to win. Play with your friends or team up with other Slapshot players!
You control your own player’s movements with WASD and a mouse. Use the mouse to swing your stick and control the puck. Trackpads work, but a mouse is absolutely recommended.
You can buy the full version in order to unlock all of the customization options you’ve earned to make your character stand out! Slapshot is free-to-play indefinitely.
Slapshot is a hobbyist project consisting of two developers: a software engineer and a designer/artist.

Good
Slapshot is a wonderful arcade hockey game that fills a great hole in PC gaming. There is a lot of potential for this game and while pretty much all the core mechanics are in, there are several smaller features that are highly anticipated in the near future. Slapshot is simple and cute while still being wonderfully elegant in game play and controls to make even the little things impressive and leaving a very high skill gap to simply let good players be good. There is quite a large scope for high level skill to come into the game. The game has made excellent progress since, the developers are an active part of the community, and the community is very welcoming, with a lot of friendly banter between members. It's a little hard to get use to it at first but once you start picking up on the controls a whole world of mechanics opens up to you. Overall I would recommend the game. It is super fun and it needs a well deserved audience.
